Tarot Card Reading

I just tried this tarot card reading and it is really fun. Try it!

What Tarot Card are You?
Take the Test to Find Out.

This is my card:

You are The Hierophant

Divine Wisdom. Manifestation. Explanation. Teaching.

All things relating to education, patience, help from superiors. The Hierophant is often considered to be a Guardian Angel.

The Hierophant’s purpose is to bring the spiritual down to Earth. Where the High Priestess between her two pillars deals with realms beyond this Earth, the Hierophant (or High Priest) deals with worldly problems. He is well suited to do this because he strives to create harmony and peace in the midst of a crisis. The Hierophant’s only problem is that he can be stubborn and hidebound. At his best, he is wise and soothing, at his worst, he is an unbending traditionalist.

Clinical Attachment at IMH

I have just finished three days of clincal attachment at the Institue of Mental Health. It is quite boring at times because there are not that many things to do as compared to the other general hospitals. However, it is still a fun experience because everything is done differently there.

In the general hopitsals, the medications are brought to the patient at the bedside. However, it is not done so in Institute of Mental Hospital. The patients will be called to the medication trolley one by one and served their medications there. The patient have to finish eating their medications before moving away.

Doctors’ rounds are done very differently done in Institute of Mental Health too. Instead of the doctors going to the patient’s bedside one by one to check on the patient, the patient is called to a room. Insides the room, there will be the doctor, the nurse, the medical officer and all related staff asking the patient questions to assess if the condition has improved or deteriorated. I sat in during one of the doctors’ rounds and it felt like an interview. However, the atmosphere in the room was very relaxed.

The patients are really interesting. At first, I was a littled scared of the patients because they looked quite withdrawn and I did not know how to approach or talk to them. However, after these three days of interacting, I find them to be really interesting. They are all pretty harmless because all the patients in my ward are more stable as compared to those in the opposite ward. It is interesting to watch and get to know them.

Kelong Fishing

My family and I went to Malaysia for a short vacation during the Chinese New Year holidays. We stayed in a kelong (houses built on water) and fished. My Dad fished while my Mum and I lazed around, watching television (yes, they actually have a television there. Thank goodness for that or else I would have died from boredom), read books or listen to music. The food provided is really not bad. We had quite a pleasant time. I collected some really nice seashells from this island called Pulau Sibu which was really near to where we were lodging. It is really cool.

Happy Valentine’s Day

It is the time of the year again when couples finding ways and means to express their love to their loved one and singles search desperately for a date. It is also the time of the year when advertisements about Valentine’s Day presents, meeting singles and roses comes popping up everywhere. For the past 19 years, Valentine’s Day never had much meaning to me because I was single then. Whenever someone tells me that it is Valentine’s Day, the only reaction (if you actually consider this to be a reaction) is,” Oh, okay.” However, at the start of this year, or more specifically, at the end of last year, I found someone really specially and I felt excited for the first time at the prospect of Valentine’s Day because I have someone special to share it with. However, due to some stuff, we cannot do so and it really saddens me. I think I will dread today. All around me, people are going all lovey-dovey, and it just reminds that we are not together right now. It hurts.

Right, enough of all these emotional stuff from me. Here are some superstitions about Valentine’s Day that I chanced upon. They are quite interesting, so I thought I would put it up to share with everyone. Here goes:

To be awoken by a kiss on Valentine’s Day is considered lucky.

By tradition, a young girl was supposed to eventually marry the first eligible male she met on Valentine’s Day.

In Great Britain, a women would write the name of her sweethearts on small scraps of paper which would be placed on clay marbles. The balls were dropped into water with the belief that whichever scrap of paper surfaced first would be the name of the man destined to be the future husband.

Pick a dandelion that has gone to seed. Take a deep breath and blow the seeds into the wind. Ount the seed that remain on the stem,. and that is the number of children you will have.

Seeing different animals on Valentine’s Day can result in different ways; seeing a goldfinch, you will marry a millionaire; seeing a robin, you will marry a crime fighter; seeing a dove, you will have a happy peaceful marriage. (Maybe it’s a good day to go to the zoo!)

………………………………………………………………….To all those lucky couples…

To all those looking for love…

To all those who, like me, are facing some sort of relationship problem…

Happy Valentine’s Day!

School Printers

Urgh…Can’t the school get a few decent printers? As my home computer cannot print PDF file and my lecturer’s notes are all in PDF format, I had no choice but to go to school to print. I arrived at school at 11am. I went straight to the printing shop at canteen 2 to print. I managed to print three lecture notes with no problem. When it came to the forth one, as the file is too big, it took the printer a long time to print that lecture note. The computer nearly hanged, but good thing it didn’t. By that time, there were so many people in the shop that I thought I had better not hog onto the computer for too long. So I paid for the four lecture notes and went to the Meridien Hotel to pass something to someone very special through the help of a friend. It’s a long story, so I shall not bore you to death with it. It took me almost two hours to make the trip there and back to my school to continue my battle with the PDF files. I met my friend at the library (I think I studied too much. She asked me to help her buy bottled Ice Lemon Tea and I got her bottled Mango Tea instead. She nearly fainted. Good thing she did not, or else I would have to do CPR on her and I am very sure she would not have wanted that to happen. We had to go back to the shop to get it changed). I tried printing the last PDF file using the printer at the libray, but apparently, it is a generic printer and cannot print it the way I want it to. So we made our way up to Block 81 climbing the bloody slope. We could not print it using the first printer, so we had to use the printer in the next room. By the time I finally made it to the SIM bus stop, it was already 5.05pm.

I thought time would help me to ease my pain, but I miss him even more as time passes by. What do I do? Sometimes I really wish he would just appear beside me unexpectedly, so that I don’t feel that painful…

Life is so Fragile

I just finished watching this Taiwanese drama serial on Youtube called Silence, which is also known as Shen Qing Mi Ma. It is acted by Vic Zhou (Zhou Yu Min), Andy Hui (Xu Zhi An) and that Korean actress who acted in Da Chang Jin. It really made me think of a lot of stuuf.

I realised that life can be so fragile. One minute you are fine and the next minute you can be diagnosed with cancer and only have three more months to live. What would you do if you only have three more months to live? How would you spend the precious three months? What do you want to accomplish in the three months? What should you do to bring the level of hurt to the minimum for the people you love and those who loves you?

As Eudora said: “You can plan and plan for the future and sometimes it all goes wrong. Living for the moment has its own special blend of insanity, spontaneity and attraction that sometimes only two people can share.” So, I have decide to live everyday now as if I am going to die the next day. It’s going to be hard with all the stresses in life, but I will try.

I don’t need much in relationships. I just need someone who can love me silently, hold me in his arms and tell me that everything is alright when I am hurting, who can sit down together with me and just spend the whole afternoon reading books in a park or something. Love can be so simple and I am glad I have already found that special someone. Thank you, dear.

Pepper lunch

This is my second time eating at Pepper Lunch. I had Curry Lamb Pepper Lunch set, complete with a drink of my choice of orange juice and “Kuromitsu” soft ice-cream. For someone who loves her mutton and who is really picky when it comes to food, I find it really delicious. The taste of the mutton is not too strong, and together with the curry sauce, the corn and the cheese, it is heavenly. The mutton is fresh and tender and the cheese makes the whole thing really sticky and nice, just the way I like it. YUMMY!

The “Kuromitsu” soft ice-cream is really DELICIOUS. It is actually raw sugar caramel! The taste of the caramel enhenced the creamy taste of the ice-cream and it is not too sweet. It is absolutely FANTASTIC. Anyone who has a sweet tooth like me will love this.
